The subscriptions are managed by the revision control system Mercurial, which provides an online web interface to view the changes to EasyList, EasyPrivacy and EasyList Germany.
The source code may be downloaded by installing Mercurial and running the command "hg clone https://hg.adblockplus.org/easylist/". The subscriptions may then be compiled for examination by executing the Perl script "generate_subscriptions.pl", which is located in the repository. The resulting files will be compressed automatically by the script if p7zip is present on the system.
We are always willing to accept new contributors to the subscriptions and would encourage all users to view the subscription policies. The simplest way to become involved is to register on the EasyList forums, which are the primary method of communication, and suggest filters that remove unwanted items from webpages. Committed members are awarded the contributor status and granted access to the private development section of the forums, which is where policy decisions are made and discussion of problematic domains takes place.
